Theory Classes Online

Calling music theory students, CMWS Theory & Composition classes will be restarting online from Tuesday 6th October 2020. Classes will be held every Tuesday 5-6pm on Skype, our tutor as ever is John Treherne MBE MA LTCL QTS.

Students of all ages and ability levels are welcome - not only current CMWS students but anyone wishing to extend their mastery of music theory. The class will cost £50 for the Autumn term (until Christmas 2020). The course is aimed at guiding students towards the grade 5 ABRSM theory exam. Note that once students have reached the required level, ABRSM theory exams can currently be taken online at home for grades 1-5.

If you are interested in studying music theory please register your interest on our website contact form www.communitymusicws.com/contact or email makemusic@communitymusicws and further details on joining the class will be sent to you. Students will need to have their own copies of ABRSM "Theory in Practice" work books, further advice on this can be provided.

COVID-19

In line with UK Government guidance, we have taken the decision to suspend all of our ensembles and face-to-face teaching until future notice. We hope all of our members, supporters, service providers and trustees are safe and well during this difficult time.

We realise that this news is upsetting, therefore please do support your friends within the CMWS community at this time, and those beyond our network. Many of our members are in touch via virtual means – even for their rehearsals!

We’re monitoring and staying up to date with UK Government and Public Health England and are following their advice as the situation changes each day.

For our members who have made advance payments, and would like to discuss a refund for those weeks that we are unable to offer our ensembles, please email makemusic@communitymusicws.com and we will contact you as soon as we can.
